PROJECTS WE BELIEVE IN AND SUPPORT
Health Category
Pequeno Príncipe Complex | “For another 100 years” Project – Pediatric hospital complex formed by the Pequeno Príncipe Hospital and the Dr. César Pernetta Children’s Hospital. It is a non-governmental organization maintained by Associação Hospitalar de Proteção à Infância Dr. Raul Carneiro, a non-profit organization founded by a group of volunteers, which provides healthcare services, education and research. Blau has been a partner of the Association for years, through the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents of Curitiba. The support is aimed at renovating the building structure of the Pequeno Príncipe Hospital, which will contribute to improving the quality of care.
Hospital do Amor | “Support for the Elderly” Project – National reference center for cancer treatment, with 100% of patients from the public network (SUS). The hospital, which relies on a team of 260 doctors and over 3,000 employees, discovers more than 11,000 new cases of cancer per year, carrying out more than 4,100 appointments per day, 1,350 surgeries per month and over 200,000 preventive exams. It has 13 accommodations in Barretos, 11 for adults and 2 specially for children, with a total capacity for 650 people. Made possible by the Elderly Law, Blau’s support aims to cover the hospital’s regular operations – mainly the purchase of drugs and payroll – since the financing from the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) does not cover the costs of providing care to the needy population.
Lar Francisco Cândido Xavier – Located in Caucaia do Alto, this non-profit, non-governmental organization aims to develop projects to restore the dignity of elderly citizens, providing them with a free, family-like life, with characteristics inherent to a true home, also fostering the integration of the elderly with the community.
Inclusion Category
APAE Cotia | Early Stimulation and Habilitation Program (PEP) – Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais de Cotia (Association of Parents and Friends of People with Disabilities of Cotia) is a non-profit philanthropic institution that, since its foundation in 1989, has been fighting for people with disabilities to have a dignified place in society. Blau’s support was approved by the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents and focuses on children aged 0 to 6 who have been diagnosed with intellectual disability and/or delayed neuropsychomotor development, favoring their full development, autonomy and independence.
Culture Category
Artemisa – Through photo sessions with women fighting breast cancer, the project proposes a welcoming and artistic look at the female body. During the photo shoot, women write a message about what they want to convey through it. The goal is to encourage self-care for the prevention and screening of breast cancer.
Pequeno Príncipe Complex | “Let’s do it together?” and “Little Bee”– In this pediatric hospital complex, while hospitalization is a time of intensive health treatment and care, there is the challenge of making the circulation of children welcoming and humanized. In this context, projects to democratize art and culture are developed. Made possible through the Culture Incentive Law, Blau’s sponsorship is intended for the “Let’s do it together?” project, which encourages emotional exchange through artistic activities and the production of a book for free distribution, and for the “The Little Bee and the Tall Tree” project, which fosters theater training for children, in addition to recreational and educational activities.
Doutores da Alegria – Non-profit civil society organization that introduced the art of clowning into the healthcare universe, focusing on children, adolescents and other groups in situations of vulnerability and social risk in public hospitals. Founded by Wellington Nogueira in 1991, it has already carried out over 1.5 million visits to hospitalized children, their companions and healthcare professionals and, in 2016, it repositioned itself based on a new governance and a new institutional task, proposing art as one of the basic needs for the dignified development of human beings.
Rock+Humor – Project supported by the Culture Law that fosters the presentation of a show that combines theater, humor and music, emphasizing local culture in the cities it visits.
Tetear Tech – Project that brings art and technology to children and teenagers aged 5 to 17, through free courses. The classes propose experiences of creative processes and aesthetic experiences that foster students’ contact with artistic languages and with some advances in the digital world, artificial intelligence, instigating reflections on transformations in the field of communication and access to information.
Sport Category
Racing Project – The project aims to generate opportunities for promising drivers seeking space on the domestic scenario, participating in the main National Motorsport competition, which is the Brazilian Stock Car Championship.
